The Beginning
Welcome, I’m Mayla.
I was born in Kingston, Canada as my dad was Canadian but my parents split when I was 18 months old and my mum, who is Irish, came back to Ireland with me. I was raised in Ireland by my single mum and this land feels like home. I’m a Capricorn sun, Aquarius moon and Scorpio rising.
I grew up a very sensitive and intuitive child but like most of us I learnt to shut down those abilities to try to “fit in” and not be “weird”. School was a challenge and felt like prison as repetition and memorisation replaced imagination and creativity. The pressure to be accepted by my peers, a very unstable and traumatic home life with my mum and the stress of flying to Canada on my own once a year to see my dad started to compound and I began smoking at the age of 10, drinking at the age of 11 and taking drugs at the age of 14. This was the beginning of a path of many years of self sabotage and numbing my pain due to a lot of childhood trauma, grief and trying to fit in with Irish culture.
The Spiral
Grief has been one of my biggest teachers in life. As a teenager five very influential and key people in my life died over five years. At the age of 15 my beloved nana died of a heart attack. At 17 my dad also died of a sudden heart attack, and the following year my grandad died. Me and mum lived with my grandparents for years so we were extremely close and they were like a second set of parents to me.
As everyone went off to begin their new college life, I went off to Sri Lanka on my own to volunteer with elephants and teach English to children as I had always planned to take a gap year after school to travel. I didn’t know it at the time but a part of me had frozen and disassociated from the shock of the death of my dad and this resulted in arrested development. I tried to come home and fit in with normal life, starting an Arts degree but I dropped out in the first year. Then I began a Fashion Journalism degree in a college outside of London but only completed two years.
Over the years following the deaths, I had no tools or support in dealing with this compounded grief and not knowing how to cope with the pain, I suppressed and numbed it out. Life spiralled out of control with drink, drugs, toxic relationships and I felt completely lost. Throughout my twenties I travelled a lot which was also another form of escapism. I travelled all over South East Asia and South America and ended up living in Sydney, Australia with an ex-boyfriend. In 2010 I went to New Zealand and watched Eat, Pray, Love at the cinema. It was then that I felt a deep call to go to Bali. The relationship ended and I decided to leave Australia in 2011 and travel through South East Asia on my way home, but first I spent three weeks in Bali which became a sanctuary for my soul. I didn’t know it at the time but spending time in Ubud and doing yoga at The Yoga Barn was a preview of what was in store years later.

The Turning Point
I returned home after a few months of travelling and went into a deep spiral of self sabotage behaviour. I got an office job, which sucked the life out of me, and my escape was weekends of heavy drinking, drugs and boys. Things got really out of control and there were many mornings that I would wake up and not remember the night before or how I got home.
I quit my office job and started studying interior design, still at a loss of what I wanted to do with my life. I ended up getting a job as an interior designer but it was not my passion or path and the monotony of working 9-5 deeply depressed me to the point of not wanting to go to sleep at night because I didn’t want to wake up to another day and do the same thing all over again.
Something had to give as I was absolutely miserable and I lived a very fast paced life and was always busy. It was my wrist and I broke it in 2012 and was finally forced to sit still as I couldn’t drive. During those weeks of recovery I read Anita Moorjani's book “Dying to Be Me” which catalysed something inside of me. I started a regular yoga practice and my first blog sharing inspirational quotes and information. A year later I quit my job as an interior designer to follow a deep soul calling back to Bali to do a yoga energetics teacher training. Life completely opened up and I found myself on a new path, living in Bali for years, working with my yoga teacher and mentoring with a chiropractor, kinesiologist and craniosacral therapist. Since then I have also studied naturopathy, nutrition, astrology, birth trauma, life coaching, and hair tissue mineral analysis but the real education and biggest teacher has been my own body and higher self.
The Calling
My adventures have taken me all around the world to many different cultures and I have been blessed to study with incredible mentors and teachers. I came to study nutrition and naturopathy due to my own health issues and a desire to prepare and cleanse my body for being a mother one day. In 2018 a dear friend introduced me to The Ringing Cedars of Russia books by Vladimir Megré. I have never read anything like them before, they’re completely unique, and they lit my soul on fire and created a blueprint for how I wanted to live my life and raise my children in deep connection to the earth. I started consciously connecting to my children and prayed for guidance to help me prepare my body, mind and soul for meeting my soulmate and these beautiful souls when they’re ready to incarnate. I had no idea the depths of the journey that my prayers would take me on and I truly feel it’s been divinely guided by my children which I have yet to meet.
I was vegetarian since I was 16 and was deeply ingrained in the belief system that to be “spiritual” and ascend you don't eat animals. When I decided to go fully vegan in 2021 my health quickly declined even though I was studying nutrition at a plant based college and learning how to do it “properly”. I came across the carnivore diet in 2022 through a mentorship with a naturopath and osteopath, and overnight I switched from plant based to animal based. It was incredibly difficult to let go of all the belief systems and everything I had learnt about nutrition through the plant based lens but the results spoke for themselves. I got my energy back, my body started to heal, my mental health improved and my nervous system became consistently regulated for the first time in my life.

Burnout and Breakthroughs
I then mentored with another osteopath and naturopath, and committed to consistently following his protocol (it was also the carnivore diet) and through sending the right signals to my body that it was safe and everything was “okay”, my body completely opened up and began a very deep detoxing and healing process. I started to release all the drugs and chemicals I had abused my body with throughout the years and that we are exposed to daily living in a very toxic world. It was a challenging journey as my body physically and emotionally purged but I came out the other side feeling better than ever. After the mentorship I then continued my naturopathy studies specialising in women’s health.
After three years of carnivore, low carb and being in ketosis my body became burnt out and I hit another rock bottom. I couldn't figure out what was wrong as once again, just like veganism I was doing everything "right". I then came across hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) and did a test which showed me I was in the most depleted pattern and all my minerals were very low. I once again had to let go of my belief systems around the dogma of keto/carnivore and I started on a mineral rebalancing program with therapeutic dose custom supplements and a local and seasonal diet based on my unique biology which we can see through HTMA. I went through another very deep detox and recalibration as my minerals came back to balance and my body healed from burn out.
I am now blending all the knowledge that I have tried and tested over the years to create a roadmap to share with others. The teachings and philosophies have been life changing and I've experienced my own physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health transform and come into harmony on every level, as well as witnessed thousands of other people experience true healing.
What I Do Now
I've invested deeply in my own healing - not just money, but years of surrender, trial, and letting go of everything I thought I knew. That investment is what I bring to you. It has been a truly wise investment that continues to pay dividends as life becomes more and more magical every day. It’s not without its challenges and I certainly don’t have all the answers but I do believe that I have been divinely guided to profound and ancient knowledge that every cell in my body can feel is the truth.
I am a seeker and am willing to challenge my beliefs, to pivot and try things based on new information and see where I was wrong. This attitude has served me well through the years and as Maya Angelou says, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
My journey has not been clear cut. For years I had a huge sense of mission and purpose but I didn’t know what I was here to do and I felt confused, frustrated and totally lost. I had to let go of my old life... all my friends, behaviours, ways of being that connected me to that reality and it took many years to rebuild a new life that is completely soul aligned. All I was shown was the next step, I’d follow that and then the next step would be revealed. It’s been this way for many years. Anytime I thought I knew how things would work out, the timeline would collapse and I’d be humbled and brought in a completely different direction. The new reality was always more aligned and magical but my ego resisted constant change and craved stability and control of knowing how things would work out. Life became a lot easier when I “remembered” that naturopathy was my calling and I fully committed to the path. I’m sharing this just in case you’re still in seeking mode. You know you’re here for a reason but perhaps you don’t know what you’re here to do yet. Keep going. Follow your intuition. Follow through with the next step you’re guided to take and over time your purpose will be revealed.
My intention for my work is that you fall in love with your body and trust its innate feminine wisdom and intelligence as a self healing mechanism, and that you feel a deep sense of connection to a greater whole as you learn about our connection to the earth and her cycles.
If my journey resonates with you, I offer one-to-one mineral rebalancing programs rooted in HTMA, custom supplementation, and a seasonal diet based on your unique biology - the same roadmap that brought me back to life. This is the roadmap I wish I had when I was depleted, confused, and trying everything. If you're ready to stop guessing and start rebuilding from the foundation up, I'd love to guide you.
